Clear expectations make better creative work

The details,
said clearly.

This page explains the general way By Skyla bookings work. Your proposal and contract will repeat the terms that apply to your specific service, so you can review everything before paying.

Your complete total is confirmed first. Package price, applicable sales tax, approved add-ons and any travel fee are shown in writing before you pay a retainer.

01

Booking + payment

A booking is not reserved until the required nonrefundable retainer and signed agreement are received.

  • Services under $200: $50 retainer.
  • Services from $200 to $499: $100 retainer.
  • Services of $500 or more: 25% retainer.
  • Session balances are due 48 hours before coverage.
  • Wedding and larger-event balances are due seven days before coverage.

Published prices are before applicable sales tax. The retainer is applied toward the total balance.

02

Travel

Sessions within Kingsville do not have a separate travel fee. Locations outside Kingsville receive one flat travel fee based on the transportation and logistics required.

The fee may account for fuel, mileage, rideshare or rental-car costs, parking, tolls, permits, flights or accommodation when applicable. It is confirmed in writing and collected in advance. No unapproved travel charge is added after booking.

03

Rescheduling, cancellations + weather

One reschedule is permitted with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability. Late reschedules, client cancellations and no-shows forfeit the retainer.

If unsafe weather or conditions would materially affect the work, By Skyla may reschedule without an additional fee. Limited mini-day promotions may use a separate weather policy shown on that booking page.

04

Images + delivery

You receive every strong final image that meets By Skyla’s quality standard. The number listed in your package is a guaranteed floor, never a cap. If 100 photographs meet the standard, By Skyla may deliver all 100.

Duplicate frames, tests, missed-focus images, closed-eye photographs and RAW or unedited files are not delivered. Your package lists the standard turnaround. Rush delivery is only included when it is written into the scope or purchased as an add-on.

05

Editing + revisions

Photography includes By Skyla’s standard color and tonal editing. Body reshaping, major object removal, extensive skin retouching, composites and repeated aesthetic re-editing are not included unless separately agreed.

Video, strategy and design work includes only the revision allowance shown in the proposal. Additional revision rounds may be billed separately.

06

Usage, portfolio + privacy

Portrait, couples, family, graduation and wedding packages include personal use and printing rights. They do not transfer copyright or include business advertising use.

Your agreement will state whether By Skyla may share selected work in its portfolio, website or social media. Privacy requests must be agreed in writing before the session. A request for complete privacy may affect eligibility for a portfolio-building promotional price.

07

Brand, social + commercial work

Brand, team and business-booked event packages include use by the booking client on its own website, organic social media, email and standard marketing unless the proposal says otherwise.

Paid advertising, resale, exclusive ownership, third-party transfer and major publication campaigns require written permission or an expanded license. Social-media management, posting, community management, direct messages and paid ads are included only when specifically listed in the package.

08

Weddings, sports + events

Wedding photography is currently limited to select intimate and shorter celebrations. By Skyla does not offer all-day wedding photography as a standard package. Timelines, venues, lighting, access and coverage requirements are reviewed before acceptance.

Sports and event results depend on access, available shooting positions, lighting and events occurring within the booked coverage time. By Skyla cannot guarantee a particular moment, equal photographs of every athlete or coverage of an event occurring outside the agreed timeline.

Wedding content creation is phone-first vertical social content. It does not replace professional photography or videography and does not include professional audio, a complete ceremony film or long-form cinematic editing.

Ask before you book. I would rather explain a term clearly than have you wonder what it means.
